The Woodworkers' Shop provides a well-equipped shop for the enjoyment of
members of the Bozeman Senior Center who have also paid the Woodworkers'
annual fee. Individuals who wish to join the club and use the
equipment should arrange an orientation session to familiarize themselves
with the Woodworkers' Shop and the proper use of the equipment. Names and
phone numbers of persons who will conduct orientation sessions may be obtained at the
Bozeman Senior Center front desk.
The Woodworkers' Shop is located in the basement of the Senior Center, open hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Members show their membership card at the Senior Center front desk to obtain a key to the shop. The woodworkers goup has a monthly meeting for all woodworkers to attend. This meeting is the first Wednesday of every month at 10:00am in the Woodworkers Shop. Seniors enjoying the use of the Woodworkers Shop can work on their own projects and also help with fundraising projects. At the present time wooden kitchen spoons, wooden toy cars and trucks, and bluebird houses are being made and sold as fundraisers. Some of the woodworkers are also available to do individual projects for non-profit organizations such as the "sawhorse cattle" needed by the 4-H Horse project participants. These projects, if approved, are paid for on a donation basis. Tools may not be taken from the Woodworkers' Shop for use anywhere else. BE RESPONSIBLE. BE SAFE. BE SURE Fees for Woodworkers' membership are listed on the Fee Schedule. |
