Volunteering at the Bozeman Senior Center can be fun and rewarding. There are many areas in which people of all ages can volunteer. Listed below are job descriptions for volunteer opportunities at the Bozeman Senior Center.
Fall Festival is the largest annual fundraising event for the Senior Center and takes place the weekend after the Columbus Day Holiday. The Fall Festival is an event the entire Bozeman community looks forward to because of the many bargains to be had and all the delicious food to eat. Fall Festival begins on Friday morning and ends on Saturday afternoon. For this event to be successful the Center must have the help of approximately a 100 volunteers. The Senior Center building turns into a little shopping mall with shopping opportunities throughout the building. Volunteers are needed to organize the goods prior to sale days as well as volunteers are needed to help cashier, during the two busy days. The Bozeman Senior Center also collects donations throughout the year for this big event, so please donate. We are happy to take items anytime Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Items we do not accept are: T.V.'s, stereos, exercise equipment, and computer equipment.
Rest Stop is a great way to volunteer for the Senior Center. At the Rest Stop area off South 19th interstate exit. Here you will visit with those passing through, answer any questions they may have and let them take any goodies or refreshments they would like. If they are so inclined, they may give a donation. These donations are used to help fund programs at the Bozeman Senior Center. Two people are needed for each shift, you are not required to set up anything, everything will be done ahead of time for you. Times to volunteer are Fridays and/or Saturdays. First shift starting at 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and the second one starting at 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This project begins in May and ends the last Saturday of September.
